Battery is one of the most important devices in electric forklift trucks. The existence of battery is to provide enough power for forklift trucks to efficiently carry out cargo handling. When the battery is in use, periodically check the water shortage status of the battery according to the environment and temperature, and refill the battery in a timely manner.

 

Description of the necessity of adding water to batteries of electric forklift trucks

Lead-acid battery electrolyte by sulfuric acid and distilled water in proportion to the deployment of electric forklift in the use of the battery temperature, charge and discharge frequently, will cause the electrolyte ratio imbalance, and even sulfuric acid concentration to form corrosion, therefore, to give a regular supplement of the right amount of distilled water, make up for water consumption. Only by adding an appropriate amount of distilled water can the normal charge and discharge function of the electrolyte be maintained and the service life of the electric forklift battery be maintained. If the supplement is ordinary water, which contains magazines and other metals will deposit crystallization in the plate, resulting in insufficient charging or even unable to charge the electric forklift, so pure and qualified distilled water must be used.

 

Common water adding problems in batteries of electric forklift trucks

1. It is difficult to grasp the amount or benchmark of monomer adding distilled water, and there are problems of excessive or insufficient filling

2. The waste and leakage of distilled water caused by the use of water spoons in the filling process are widespread

3. Time loss of adding distilled water, for example, it is estimated to take 45-60 minutes to check all 24 monomers in a set of 48V batteries and add distilled water

 

In view of the above problems, it is recommended to use battery automatic water filling system, which can realize accurate and efficient distilled water filling, effectively improve the problems existing in manual water adding, and effectively improve the service efficiency and life of batteries through automatic water filling process. Especially under the condition of high temperature in summer season, because of the charging zone heat dissipation problem and the influence of environment temperature is higher, the loss of distilled water is higher than other seasons, through the use of automatic adding water system, the use of special use retain more battery customers, concentrated and efficient hydrating operation can improve the battery maintenance level, so as to improve the benefit of the use of electric forklift.

1. The control system monitors the liquid level in real-time

2. If the liquid level is insufficient (water shortage) and the device is in a static state, automatically enter the water refill process

3. The liquid injection valve will open automatically, and distilled water will be added to all battery cells at the same time

4. When the liquid level of any battery cell reaches the standard, the corresponding liquid injection valve automatically closes, and the excess water circulates into the control unit to prevent water pipe damage caused by excessive water pressure

5. If the liquid level does not reach the standard, continue the water refill process until all batteries are filled

6. Automatically cut out the water refill process and enter the monitoring process. The controller is in the idle state, and the single water refill process ends
