What is the battery automatic water refill system?

Lead-acid batteries are divided into lean liquid batteries and rich liquid batteries. Lean liquid (maintenance-free) battery is that the battery does not need to add water during use, the electrolyte inside the battery is absorbed by the glass fiber isolation plate, and the electrolyte inside the battery will not pour out even if the battery is turned over 180 degrees.

 

Relatively speaking, it is a liquid-rich battery, liquid-rich lead-acid battery is in use for a period of time, the electrolyte inside the single battery will be reduced with the evaporation of water vapor during use, so it is necessary to regularly add water to avoid battery drying. The ordinary water adding method is to add water manually. The water adding time is long and the level of the liquid level is uneven after the water is added. The uneven level of the liquid level will cause the specific gravity of sulfuric acid inside the battery to be inconsistent, which will directly affect the discharge performance of the battery. The automatic water adding system is that after the water inlet pipe is connected, pure water automatically enters into each single battery, and the float is jacked up with the rise of the liquid level. At the same time, the water injection port is blocked until the buoyancy pushes up to the top and the liquid injection port is closed, so as to achieve the purpose of automatic water adding.

  

Automatic battery water refill system can replace the manual maintenance operation of the battery water, real-time monitoring of the battery water shortage, automatic water refill, full water induction stop, after the installation of the device can keep the electrolyte level in a healthy state, ensure the battery electrolyte characteristics stable and balanced, optimize the use efficiency of battery equipment, and extend the service life of the battery.

Lead-acid batteries are divided into lean liquid batteries and rich liquid batteries. After a period of use, the electrolyte of a liquid-rich lead-acid battery will decrease. When the height of the liquid level is lower than the height of the plate inside the battery area, the plate will be exposed to the air in contact with the oxygen in the air, resulting in the oxidation of the plate, which will greatly reduce the discharge performance of the plate. When the electrolyte is reduced, the proportion of sulfuric acid inside the battery will be high, and too high the proportion of sulfuric acid will be intensified

 

The corrosion of the grid reduces the service life of the battery. So water must be added regularly. Manual water adding time is long, the amount of water added is inconsistent, and the water will leak on the surface of the battery during the water adding process, and the dust on the surface of the battery will form a micro short circuit during the use of the battery, thus affecting the discharge performance of the battery. Automatic water adding system is adopted, the water adding time is short, after adding water, the level of the unit inside the battery pack is stable, and all the water adding action is completed in the water pipe, no liquid spilled out, to keep the battery surface clean and dry.

 

Why do lead-acid batteries lose water?

The reduction (water loss) of lead-acid battery electrolyte mainly comes from two aspects:

1. electrolyte electrolysis: at the end of the charge of the lead-acid battery, a part of the water will be electrolyzed, forming hydrogen and oxygen to be discharged to the outside of the monomer, which causes the loss of water.

2. evaporation of water: the temperature of a single battery will rise in the process of charging and discharging, and the ambient temperature also plays a great role in the temperature rise of the battery. In summer, the temperature is high and the water evaporates quickly, while in winter, the temperature is low and the water evaporates slowly. The ambient temperature combined with the temperature rise of the charge will cause a large amount of water in the electrolyte to evaporate. The water loss caused by water evaporation is much greater than the water loss caused by electrolyte electrolysis, so the liquid-rich battery needs timely replenishment during use.
